ReReal ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, process, and safeguard your personal data when you use the ReReal Resume Builder.

1.1 Personal Data (Provided by You)

  • Account Registration: Email address, username, password, and registration timestamp.
  • Resume Content: Name, contact info, photo, links, work experience, education, projects, skills, and custom sections.
  • Support Communication: Messages and email addresses submitted via contact and support forms.

1.2 Automated Data Collection

  • Device and Session Data: IP address, browser type, operating system, and session ID.
  • Cookies and Session Settings: System settings, preferences, and rate-limiting hashes.
  • Analytics Data: Anonymous interaction logs to help us improve the platform.

2. How We Use Your Data

We process your data for the following purposes:

  • Service Provision: Creating, styling, hosting, and downloading resumes.
  • AI-Powered Suggestions: Submitting resume text segments to secure artificial intelligence services to evaluate optimization and offer formatting suggestions.
  • Authentication & Security: Managing secure sessions, credentials, and protecting the platform against abuse.
  • Customer Support: Resolving technical queries and responding to complaints.

3. Data Storage & Security

  • Hosting: All data is hosted on secure, industry-standard cloud database servers.
  • Encryption: We enforce HTTPS for all data in transit. Sensitive fields are encrypted at rest.
  • Access Control: User data access controls are active. No user can view, edit, or delete another user's data.

4. Data Sharing and Subprocessors

We do not sell your personal data. We only share data with essential subprocessors necessary to deliver the service:

  • Database & Auth Services: To securely store and authenticate your account.
  • AI Processing Providers: To generate ATS scores and spelling/grammar suggestions.
  • Cloud Hosting & Infrastructure: To deliver page requests and assets globally.

5. Data Retention

  • Authenticated Users: Data is retained as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all associated resumes, versions, and profile details are permanently purged from active databases immediately.
  • Guest Mode Users: Guest resume snapshots are cached in temporary memory solely for document generation and deleted. System abuse prevention metrics are cleared automatically after a short window.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction (e.g. GDPR, India DPDP Act), you have the right to:

  • Access: Obtain a copy of all data stored about you.
  • Correction: Edit incorrect profile or resume data.
  • Erasure: Delete your account and all associated data.
  • Portability: Export your resumes as structured data.
  • Withdraw Consent: Terminate active consents (terms, marketing, cookies, etc.).
